Some journeys begin with a decision.
Hers began with birth..
Born into a traditional yogic family, Prakriti Dhungana grew up
where Sadhana was a way of life.
The fragrance of Homa, the vibration of mantra, daily rituals,
meditation and the discipline of ashram life were part of her
childhood. Her family remembers that one of the first sounds she
uttered was “Om.”
She did not discover the yogic path later in life. She was raised
within it.
For eight formative years, she studied at Divine Yoga Gurukul,
living and learning in an environment shaped by the founder of
Shanti Yoga Ashram.
There, yoga was not merely a classroom subject—it was practiced,
observed and lived every day.
“The path was not something she had
to find. It was the environment in
which she learned to see the world.”
From Yogic Childhood to the Study of
Tantra
Her journey then moved deeper. She spent another eight years pursuing Sanskrit, turning
toward ancient scriptures and gradually finding her deepest calling in Tantra. She chose
Tantra as her academic specialization, completed her Bachelor’s degree and is now pursuing
Master’s studies in Tantra.

When the Body Becomes the Yantra
For her, dance is not simply movement.
The body becomes the Yantra.
The movement becomes the Mantra.
And the dance becomes Sadhana.
Through tantric and sacred dance, she explores how movement can become a pathway
toward deeper awareness and the experience of subtle energy.
