The Guru-Disciple relationship is as old as Yoga, which means that it goes back to the beginning of time. According to tradition, the knowledge of Yoga can only be received through the grace of a Guru. A true guru is not an ordinary spiritual teacher but one who has attained complete union with Infinite Spirit and is therefore qualified to lead others to that same blissful goal.

The Sanskrit scriptures describe the guru as “dispeller of darkness” (gu, “darkness,” and ru, “that which dispels”). Through the light of the guru’s universal consciousness, the darkness of ignorance is dispelled—removing that which prevents each of us from understanding we are immortal divine beings “made in the image of God.” The Guru stimulates self-transformation.
When one wants to deepen his knowledge on yoga, he can be initiated by the guru in tantra tradition.
The deeper science of tantra is only transmitted from guru to disciple, when the guru is sure that the disciple is ready and his intentions are purified. Only a guru can teach this science. The science must be mastered by oneself before it can be transmitted. This is why the scriptures are written in a mysterious way, difficult to understand for the ordinary people. It is only for those who truly want to evolve, from the deepest core of the heart, not only for one’s own sake but for humanity as a whole.
Anyone can stay in our ashram for as long as they want and the purpose they want. For the real long-term sadhakas who want to offer their life to the path of yoga and have full faith in the path and the Guru, there is diksha (initiation). In initiation, a sacred bond is created.
In our ashram, teachings are given by the heart of the Guru. You will receive satsang in which you talk about different spiritual/yogic topics with the Guru. Yogaclasses are given by the Guru or his Disciple with are according to their Guru tradition and of scriptural background.
As your devotion might grow along the path, the Guru-Disciple connection will grow, resulting in true inner transformation and an eternal bond.
"I seek nothing of you but your joy in God. And you seek nothing from me but God’s wisdom and joy."
